Why Timber?    

                                                                                          
Wood is a carbon bank,harvested less than its growth rate.Wood is 100% biodegradeable being 10-20 times less energy to convert trees than concrete or steel.
Easier & quicker to manufacture than metal or concrete and does not use  up world resources like water or oil.
Wood is easy to recycle and reuse and also it can be used as a fuel source.All Trees produce clean oxygen and remove CO2 from the atmosphere.
Woodlands and  Forests prevent soil erossion and flooding.Trees also help clean up our waste products and inturn purify our water.

All our Buildings come as standard with the following carbon friendly Materials with the choice of an optional upgrade:

CLADDING: ex-22x125  Pressure Treated,Scandinavian Whitewood,Loglap Cladding fixed with stainless steel non-rusting nails 

FRAMING: 3x2 CLS Graded Pressure Treated Lumber (upgrade to 4x2 available)

ROOF FRAME: 4x2 CLS Graded Pressure Treated Trusses and Purlins 

KICKBOARDS: OSB Weather boards to 4ft (upgrade

to Plywood available) 

OVERHANG: 3ft fully lined with OSB Weather board

DOORS: Top and Bottom Ledge and Brace Doors fitted with Heavy Duty Galvanised fittings Inc Chewstrips 

WINDOWS: Glazed and fully inner meshed

ROOF MATERIAL:Powder coated Box profile roofing system in a choice of colours,Green/Brown/Black/Grey to include one GRP full length roof clear sheet per loosebox ,Onduline available

Please note:Box Profile sheets like Onduline are prone to condensation however,we offer anti-condensation under coating to overcome this problem,charges apply.

DRAINAGE: Osma Black Round Guttering and down pipes fitted/supplied to front. 

PARTITIONS: Fully lined to eaves on one side with OSB.(upgrade to Plywood available) 

FITTINGS:Only galvanised Heavy Duty fittings supplied as standard 

OPTIONAL EXTRAS: Timber&Metal Skids/Full Timber Upgrade/Opening Windows/Talk-Grille/Fitting/Delivery.... full upgrade to include Heavier Frame/Kickboards/Partitions/Roofing material specification.

Note:Timber Skids although towable are not recommended for regular/Daily towing,to achieve a solution for a regular towable structure we advise Metal Galvanised skids be the choice.

Why Build using Wood?

The Insulating values are significantly better than steel/Concrete.Wood has a lower overall cost of construction.Building with wood is easily understood with simple technology.Expensive utilities are not needed unlike steel/concrete.
Foundations reduced as wood is lighter than other methods.When properly designed creates up to a fifty year build life.Being Light weight it reduces transportation costs.Easy to extend amend and alter.
Easy to remove and re-construct in different locations.
Our Typical stable locks up 1.65 tonnes of carbon.
